Details

Belle Budden is a Wakka Wakka woman who grew up on Turrbal, Jaggera and Bundjalung Country. Belle is a passionate cultural creative who works across many modalities to celebrate her cultural identity and inspire others to do the same, including dance, botanical pigments, art and weaving. Belle’s painting process has evolved from running community workshops with Women and Children around empowerment, healing and storytelling. Belle’s painting practice tells contemporary stories of Aboriginal life including the complexities of identity and the continuation of connection to Country, community and culture. Bells work is vibrant and joyous and strives to be a celebration of strength. Belle’s work can be found on Instagram @Kierrabellearts
