This presentation explores how Ancestral Intelligence—our inherited cultural memory, intergenerational wisdom, and relational ways of knowing—can guide the transformation of care systems in an era defined by rapid technological change. Drawing on the principles of Hapu Ora, we examine how Indigenous worldviews offer a holistic framework for wellbeing that transcends clinical models, emphasizing connection, reciprocity, and collective flourishing. By weaving together traditional knowledge, contemporary research, and emerging technologies, we propose a future of care that is not only more humane but more intelligent rooted in the deep time insights of our ancestors and responsive to the complex needs of future generations. This session invites participants to reimagine care as a living ecosystem shaped by story, identity, and place, and to consider how Ancestral Intelligence can serve as both compass and catalyst for designing equitable, culturally grounded, and resilient care futures.
